Sprite Movie

While making this sprite movie I learned a lot more about Adobe Flash. I learned how to create a play button that starts a movie. I also learned how to add sprites to a movie and make them move. I also created a flashing title, and added music to my animation.

Interactive Drum Kit

It was very interesting to make my own interactive drum kit. I created 3 similar drums, 2 similar cymbals and a big drum. The cymbals are identical and the drums have the same sound but are different colors. The bigger drum was unique, it had a louder and deeper sound then the other drums.

Math Fair Animation

The math fair animation challenged me, I had to use many different tools to create it. It took me a while to create it and edit it. The 3-D rotation tool and shape tween were an important part in the animation. It was also tough to merge the files with my partner.

Flash Animation Face and Stick Figure

While using Adobe Flash I created two animations. One of my animations was a stick figure doing jumping jacks. The other was a face making many different expressions. It was fun to use flash to make the animation and the stick figure. Pivot animations were easier to use stick figures, but I think flash is better if you want to make your own character or face and move it anyway you want. Adobe Flash is a lot more advanced and harder then pivot.

Moving Objects in Flash

Moving objects in flash is very different then moving objects in pivot. In pivot you have to move every body part towards the spot you want to go to in order to get there. In flash you can create a line that the objects on the layers follow. Flash seems to be a lot easier when dealing with multiple objects and pivot seems easier when trying to make an animation on people and animals performing activities.

Flash Tools

Flash is a very useful tool to create and edit images. I created a few of my own images and changed around the shape of the image. I created a face from an oval and other shapes. Then I rotated the face and made it smaller. Using flash was useful and fun.

Windows Movie Maker

I added other effects and parts to my pivot animation using Windows Movie Maker. There is now music during the free-running. I also made a title and credits. I used a different song for my credits. While sing Windows Movie Maker I found out how to add video transitions. My final pivot animation includes two songs, a title, and credits.

Pivot Animation

Pivot animator is a fun way to create a short animation. I learned how to create the background and add the background. I also learned how to make it look like there were different areas in the one animation. There were three backgrounds that I used to make it look like there were different room. This project showed me how animation worked and how to make animations look more realistic.

History Of Animation

The history of animation started over 5000 years ago, a cave painting of a horse in running motion. This is animation because it makes the image look like it is moving. In the late 1800's an animation wheel was invented. When the wheel was spun the motion picture looked more realistic. The wheels only use 5- 20 frames. Advancements in technology led to longer animations, some over 2 hours.
